Emma Silva enters her first season as an assistant coach with the Falcon softball program, specializing in the development of pitchers. A former standout pitcher and player under Coach Brixey, Silva brings a decorated collegiate playing career and a deep understanding of the game to the Coalinga coaching staff.

Silva began her collegiate journey at Taft College in 2021–2022, where she made an immediate impact as the team’s ace pitcher. She tallied 125 strikeouts that season and ranked among the conference leaders in nearly every major pitching category. In 2022–2023, she transferred to West Hills College Coalinga, where she cemented her place in program history by setting the single-season strikeout record with 115 Ks.

After earning her associate degree, Silva moved on to Florida Memorial University (FMU), where she played from 2023 to 2025. At FMU, she played a pivotal role in leading the team to its first-ever postseason berth and pitched over 215 innings across her two seasons. She concluded her collegiate playing career with an impressive total of 342 strikeouts.

Throughout her playing years, Silva was recognized with several honors, including First Team All-Conference at Taft College (2022) and Second Team All-Conference at Coalinga College (2023).
