Coalinga College announces April Student-Athletes of the Month

Coalinga College has named Ty Burns of baseball, Rodeo standout Ellie Gomes, and Rylie Williams from the softball team its Student-Athletes of the Month for April.

#11 Ty Burns—Sophomore catcher from Mission Oaks High School in Tulare, CA
Ty had a great month at the plate for the Falcons with a batting average of .354 which includes 10 singles, 6 doubles, and 1 home run with 8 RBI. He also added 4 walks and scored 11 runs helping the Falcons to multiple wins within the conference.

Ellie Gomes—Freshman from Etna High School in Etna, CA
Ellie demonstrates an outstanding work ethic and a constant drive for self-improvement. She excels both in the classroom and in the arena, consistently going above and beyond. Her commitment to practice, her personal growth, and her dedication to strengthening the team are truly unmatched. Ellie's positive attitude and relentless effort set a high standard for those around her.

#22 Rylie Williams—Freshman C/COR from Exeter Union High School in Exeter, CA
Rylie has elevated her game over the past month, making a name for herself through her hustle and hard work. Her dedication speaks volumes both on and off the field. Rylie currently holds a 3.12 GPA while majoring in kinesiology. She will be returning next spring, ready to build on the strong foundation she has established.
