2019 JCAB/CCCFCA All-American & All-State teams
The postseason accolades continue to roll in for West Hills College Coalinga sophomore Dwan James. The Falcons' standout running back was named to the 2019 All-American team by the JC Athletic Bureau and California Community College Football Coaches Association (CCCFCA).
James was one of just two running backs honored as All-American. He was also named Region I All-California First-Team Offense.
James ran for a Valley League-best 1,108 yards on 191 carries with nine touchdowns this season for the Falcons. His 1,108 yards ranked fourth in the state.
He became West Hills' first 1,000-yard rusher since Wilfred Butler achieved the feat in 2013. James closed out the season by running for 100+ yards in four consecutive games, including five over his last six. Following the close of the season, James was also named first-team All-Valley League.
James wrapped up his West Hills career with 1,504 rushing yards after running for 396 yards as a freshman in 2018.
