Falcons Host Annual Fundraiser

Falcons Host Annual Fundraiser

The West Hills College Coalinga Falcons moved up one spot to No. 16 in this week's California Community College Men's Basketball Coaches Association poll.

WHCC is also ranked No. 9 in Northern California https://cccmbca.prestosports.com/sports/mbkb/2017-18/releases/Janaury_29_Poll

The Falcons are 15-4 overall and 6-2 in the Central Valley Conference - two games behind No. 3 Fresno and one game behind No. 15 Columbia.

This Wednesday, WHCC plays host to Merced College (1-7, 3-17) in the school's annual Coaches vs Cancer Night. Proceeds for all ticket sales, concessions, CvC t-shirt sales, donations, and halftime Falcon Flyers will go directly to the American Cancer Society.

The men's basketball team has also been signing-up WHCC employees throughout the week to be part of the 2018 Wall of Honor. Those donations start at $1 each.

Since 2011, when CCCAA members began the Coaches vs Cancer campaign, WHCC has raised the most money in Northern California with $12,926.73.

The WHCC athletic department will have a special halftime presentation, with cancer survivor Dawn Worth (community member and WHCC supporter) sharing her personal story - followed by a candlelight vigil from fans and WHCC students.
