Falcons Rise To No. 5 In California

The West Hills College Coalinga Falcons climbed three spots in the state rankings to No. 5 in this week's California Community College Men's Basketball Coaches Association poll.

The Falcons (13-2 overall) have won five straight games and are 4-0 in the Central Valley Conference, tied atop the standings with Wednesday's opponent No. 3 Fresno City College (16-3) - and winners of 10 in a row. 

Wednesday's first round CVC showdown at Fresno City College is scheduled for 7 p.m.

WHCC, off to its best start in school history, is ranked No. 3 in Northern California.
