Falcons Close Regular Season At Home

Falcons Close Regular Season At Home

After a 27-22 comeback victory last week at Reedley, the West Hills Falcons will host Gavilan College on Saturday (Nov. 11) at 1 p.m.

The Falcons (5-3 overall, 3-2 Golden Coast League) remain at No. 7 in the American Division rankings - but have the No. 2 strength of schedule of the 13 teams. A win on Saturday improves their chances for a postseason bowl game for a fourth straight season.

Gavilan (0-9, 0-5) is looking for its first win of the season.

WHCC is averaging 28.9 points per game, while Gavilan is averaging 15.2 ppg. Defensively, the Falcons (22.3 ppg) also have fared better than the Rams (30.7 ppg).

Saturday is Sophomore Day for the Falcons, when 20 second-year players will play their final regular season home game at Memorial Bowl Stadium.
